Females feature

Females were a feature of the sale today with 124 Angus feeder heifers sold by McCulloch Agencies on account Cameron Partnership. The Millah Murrah, Millwillah and Outwest Angus blood heifers were described by agent, Marcus Bower, as “ideal for multiple programs, whether grass/grain or to continue into any breeding program”. They were preg tested prior to sale for ‘buyer confidence” and sold to 492c/kg and averaging 358kg for $1752/head

 61 EU accredited Charolais x heifers sold by Elders on account Namoi Pty Ltd, Bundella Station sold to 492c/kg and averaged 339kg for $1641/head. They were described as ‘very good quality, reputable performers, ideal to feed or breed.”

280 Angus Angus and Charolais cows sold by Elders on account Cobram Farms averaged just under $1650/head. They were 3-8yrs old, Millah Murrah and Hazeldean blood and had just has calves pulled off them. Elders also sold 158 mixed sex Charolais x weaners for Accalay Livestock, Dorrigo. The steers topped at 558c/kg and the heifers at 532c/kg.
