Wet cattle - again

It was a significantly reduced yarding with just under 1800 cattle on offer following more rain across the New England North West. Quality was very mixed with some very light cattle on offer and multiple lots cancelled due to the rain, some western cattle for the third successive sale.
Feature lines included 75 mixed sex Angus weaners sold by McCulloch Agencies on account T & M Mathews. 40 steers sold to $1680 and averaged $1646/head and 35 heifers sold to $1380 and averaged $1325/head. The 10-11 month old calves were Millah Murrah and GAR Angus blood, grass fed, weaned and described as “ready to preform in any program.”
A consignment of 105 Angus and Euro x steers sold by Davidson Cameron on account Warrigundi Pastoral Co sold to $1700 for the black steers and $1600 for the Euros.
McCulloch Agencies also sold almost 80 Angus cows and calves and PTIC as part of a herd dispersal on account of the Estate of A & P Blanch. They consisted of mainly Heart and XL Beef genetics with some Booroomooka Angus influence as well. The cows and calves sold to $2700, PTIC heifers to $2500 and PTIC cows to $2280.
